Travel & Transportation Specialist

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. TIME-IN-GRADE:
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. FOR THE GS-09 LEVEL:
EXPERIENCE - Applicants must have one or more full time years (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level of the Federal service that demonstrates:
1.) interpreting regulations, policies, procedures, and other information applicable to travel management; 2.) providing technical assistance to program staffs, field officials, and others on travel development and administration processes; 3) developing travel reports for management; AND 4) training new employees on using the appropriate electronic travel systems. OR EDUCATION - Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. Experience:
Applicants may have combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience to meet total qualification requirements. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. An appropriate combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience. To determine your combination, first compute your experience as a percentage of the experience listed in A above; then determine your education as a percentage of the education listed in B above; then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate education in excess of one full year (18 credits) may be used to qualify. (Must submit transcripts.) Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level. TRANSCRIPTS are required if:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
