The major duties of the Biologist position include, but are not limited to the following:
-Planning and execution of studies and monitoring plans to characterize acoustic resource condition; -Identifying gaps in knowledge and integrates diverse bodies of information to develop theoretical predictions and devise research to test them; -Establish and participate in strategic partnerships to stimulate research into the effects of sound and light on biologic resources and visitor experience; -Evaluate empirical or computed results by assessing their agreement with physical principles. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-09/28/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. Qualifications:
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess one of the following basic qualifications by close of the announcement:
A. Degree:
biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. -OR- B. Combination of education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. - AND - Minimum
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes the following:
(1) Leadership experience in a team research or development project; (2) Substantial experience working with sound and bioacoustics; (3) Signal processing experience (e. g. filtering or extracting measurements from sound recordings). You must include hours per week worked. EDUCATION:

Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
