Energy Efficiency Specialist

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association is seeking an Energy Efficiency Specialist who wants an exciting work atmosphere and opportunity for growth in our organization.

Responsibilities:
Advises and assists members with issues and questions pertaining to the wise use of electricity. Explains various ways electricity can be conserved, including HVAC systems and home appliances. Visits homes with high-usage complaints and conducts energy audits, using auditing software and equipment as appropriate. Follow up with conversations, letters and literature, as appropriate.
Is knowledgeable of rates, contracts and billing procedures for all rate classes and is prepared to answer inquiries about bills. Assists the billing department with energy questions and supplies occasional training to that department for electrical concepts, technical concepts and energy utilization.
Performs educational demonstrations for schools and civic groups using the electrical safety model as requested by groups, schools and businesses.
Administers and maintains products and services rebate programs.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree is required, bachelor's degree is preferred.
At least three years' work experience in electric utility related work including but not limited to; residential auditing, working with consumers on energy usage, and working with various residential and commercial energy usage applications.
Must have knowledge and experience of residential issues including but not limited to; electrical needs and equipment, usage, auditing, conservation. Must have knowledge of electrical delivery systems, including power production, transmission, distribution, wiring and equipment on consumer premises.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
