Customer Service Representative

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association is seeking a Customer Service Representative looking for an exciting work atmosphere and opportunity for growth in our organization.

Responsibilities:
Daily logs into the phone system and answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. Provides assistance to the caller or transfers to appropriate personnel/department as necessary.
Greets consumers, vendors, and the general public in a courteous, professional manner, and directs them to the appropriate department as necessary. Processes over the counter payments.
Assists members in person, by telephone, or electronic communication, with electric account concerning connects, disconnects, reconnects, account inquires, and updating of account information, delinquent accounts, and payment arrangements.
Performs all aspects of service order processing, including transfers of service, connects, disconnects and energizes.
Must be familiar with Association's policies and procedures, rules and regulations, rates, and their practical application concerning connects, disconnects, reconnects, subterfuge, collections, budget billing, capital credit allocations and retirements, and is able to effectively explain the same to members.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is necessary. Some college or business school is preferred.
At least two years of customer service experience in consumer/billing, preferably an electric utility, is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
