The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:- Software Testing What You'll Be Doing:- Understanding of the formal software development process. - Test plan and test case development; - Automated test development (including incorporation of dynamic test data); - Manual and automated testing of software functionality, installation, and usability (including 508 compliancy); - Load and performance testing; - Bug management and error tracking; and - Test report documentation. - COTS installation/setup What You Need to Bring to the Table:- The successful candidate must be able to perform testing of web and desktop software applications, understand formal software engineering practices and quality assurance standards. - The ability to interpret product requirements, develop test procedures, and understand functional, performance, load, installation, and usability testing concepts are key. - In addition, the position must be able to perform system administration of the entire QA test environment. What You Need to Bring to the Table:- BS in
computer
Science, Software Engineering, IT., or similar degree; Candidates without a college degree will be considered, but must at least eight (8) years of relevant development experience - Four (4) plus years of structured software quality assurance engineering experience is required. Hands-on experience with creation of test plans, development and execution of test cases and reporting of test results is a must. - Note: Experience denotes successful demonstrated experience. - Experience with executing both functional, usability, and deployment testing - test execution experience in C#/.NET environment is preferred - Test Plan and Test Case Development based on software engineering documentation (functional and deployment testing) - Experience with Quality Assurance practices and Testing Methodologies - Experience with formal testing of complex server-based software systems - Experience with commercial bug management system - Working knowledge Microsoft Office tool suite (including Visio) - Demonstrated Documentation and Reporting experience - Basic understanding of program interfaces,

Qualifications:- Experience with automated testing applications similar to Visual Studio 2010 Test Edition and/or HP Quality Center. - Multi-tier computing environments including load balanced application (Middleware) Servers supported by Back End database Servers - Experience testing in an agile development environment - Excellent analytical and problem determination skills - Operating system management experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 - Experience with configuration of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) - Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2010 (C#) development experience - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 and SQL Scripting - Working background in GIS technologies such as ESR,I including ArcSDE, ArcIMS, ArcGIS - Operating system management experience with Unix/Linux - Experience with the compliancy requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for web applications design. - Experience with source control management software, such as Subversion (SVN) - Scripting experience (ie Cygwin, Dos, Bash, Perl, Python, and/or VBscript) What are you waiting for?
