Job Title: Custom Fabrication Estimator / Project Lead

Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision to fill the role of Estimator.
In this key position, you will be responsible for assessing project requirements, providing accurate estimates, and potentially overseeing projects from conception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom fabrication and possess excellent computer skills, with the ability to utilize CAD software for drafting purposes.
Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to determine project scope and requirements.
Utilize industry-standard software and tools to prepare accurate cost estimates for custom fabrication projects.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project objectives and timelines.
Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Potentially lead projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring quality standards are met and deadlines are achieved.
Conduct regular progress meetings and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
Continuously evaluate and refine estimating processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating within a custom fabrication shop environment.
Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of industry-specific software for estimating and drafting.
Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to lead projects when required.
Experience with 2D CAD or 3D modeling software would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating and project documentation.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Salary Range:
The salary for this position will vary depending on experience and qualifications.
Candidates who meet all requirements, including experience in estimating, CAD proficiency, leadership capabilities, and project management skills, can expect a starting salary in the range of $70,000 or higher.
For candidates with limited experience who can primarily focus on estimating without additional skills in CAD or project leadership, the salary would be closer to $60,000.
