Real Estate Photographer

3.
5 Fort Collins, CO Fort Collins, CO Full-time Contract Full-time Contract $30 - $60 an hour $30 - $60 an hour Real Estate Photographer - Artist & Entrepreneurial Spirit What we are looking for:
We are a small real estate photography company based in Fort Collins, but service the Front Range, from Castle Rock to Cheyenne.
We are looking for a Real Estate Photographer for full-time work in Northern Colorado.
You must own a DSLR camera, wide-angle lens (14mm to 18mm capable), tripod, and on-camera flash.
Owning your own drone is a plus, but not required.
Though the job sounds straightforward, we are looking for a very particular candidate.
First and foremost, you must have an artist's eye.
You will be asked to create amazing and inspiring images out of what is often not a very inspiring subject.
Beyond the artistry, you must be a people person.
You will be interacting with the client, and often the homeowner, so people skills are vital.
You will obviously need reliable transportation, be consistently on-time, and must be able to work efficiently under the pressure of time and an audience.
On top of all of this, there is a tremendous opportunity for growth into training and management positions, so being a leader is also an important trait.
We are looking for someone who is going to be available primarily in the evenings to cover dusk shoots, but could be available for full days Thursday-Saturday.
Position description:
You will be hired as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
You will be tested on how to properly frame and shoot Interiors and exteriors, and trained on how to properly operate drones, 360 cameras, and produce walk-through videos with a gimbal.
The training process tends to take about 2-3 weeks, but that is up to your current abilities and how well you learn on the job.
If you don't already have it, you will be required to study for, and pass, the Part 107 Drone Pilot course before you are finished training.
Your daily tasks will be to drive to different homes or businesses and complete the services that have been ordered by the client.
You will be paid a flat fee per service, at an average of $45/hr depending on your proficiency and efficiency, and at times you may be asked to drive 30 or 40 miles for the job if necessary.
(Currently, our part-time employees make approximately $30K per year while our full-time shooters make closer to $65K) You will not likely become rich via this position until you move up the ladder, but the hours are flexible, there is little to no homework outside of uploading your photos, no editing, and no marketing.
One of our last filters for hiring will be your character.
We want someone who is kind, gracious, respectful, works well with others, and has a strong desire to succeed.
We treat our team with a great deal of consideration and respect and so we will expect the same from you.
A willingness to go out of your way for the success of the entire team! Our reputation is everything, and you will need to represent the company well.
If ALL of these things sound like you, please submit two or three paragraphs about yourself.
Please include all photography or real estate photography experience, your portfolio in whatever form, as well as a list of your current equipment.
Include details about your creative side or experience, and what makes you the ideal candidate for this position.
We tend to receive about 60-80 applications for this position, so the more you can tell us, the better! We will choose our top 5-8 submissions to call in for interviews.
