Education and
Experience:
Associate's Degree plus one year Career Services experience preferred, or High School Diploma or GED and three years' experience in Career Services at a Post-Secondary school required, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Position Purpose Develop and maintain relationships with students, graduates and employers that will result in obtaining and exceeding externship and graduate placement goals.
Essential Duties Build genuine, caring relationships with students to increase externship placement and graduate placement.
Provide input on short-term and long-term business objectives such as externship and graduate placement.
Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of campus employment goals and benchmarks to ensure each are achieved.
Monitor campus budgets for Career Services events and activities.
Assist in monitoring progress in achieving student goals, objectives, and timelines.
Consult with Campus President and provide expert advice relating to student circumstances, policies, academic progress, and other critical student population information related to externship and graduate placement.
Assist in identifying revisions to processes and procedures to ensure compliance with program certification, rules, regulations, guidelines, state and federal laws, and school policies and procedures.
Responsible for assessing community and employer needs.
Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with employers through contacting prospective employers by telephone, e-mail or face-to-face meetings to engage their participation in externship and/or hiring graduates.
Effectively network with community organizations, industry, trade and professional associations, and not-for-profit organizations within the surrounding communities.
Resolve student and employer complaints and grievances.
Thirteen weeks prior to externship start; obtain student extern information and begin meeting preparation.
Conduct externship meetings ten weeks prior to externship start date.
Prepare students for externship by reviewing journal completion, paperwork/forms, grading criteria, conduct, reporting process, and employer expectations.
Conduct student extern and graduate one-on-one meetings as necessary to outline goals, brainstorm ideas and work on resumes.
Each session conduct externship site visits and evaluations to ensure student extern success and externship site satisfaction.
Participate in social media outreach representing Career Services.
Facilitate the marketing of IBMC through job/career fairs, open houses and other employment related community events.
Daily search internet boards for graduate job opportunities.
Prepare and maintain records to support regulatory compliance and accreditation guidelines.
Coach/mentor students' for hiring success.
Prepare administrative reports as required.
Maintain confidentiality of all work information.
Document all activities in CampusVue Other Duties Participate in Student Assemblies, Orientations and Advisory Board as scheduled.
During each session, conduct student preparatory interviews and provide feedback regarding preparedness.
Participate as guest speaker in selected classes as needed.

Working Conditions Work is performed in an office environment on a college campus requiring outdoor driving to employers businesses, networking events and other campuses.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
