The Role:
The People Operations Specialist is involved in many parts of the core business at Landline.
We are looking for someone who has an unbreakable attention to detail, the curiosity to learn and become an expert in new tasks, and a sense of urgency to see projects to completion.
The team member in this role will possess strong organizational and time management skills with special attention prioritized to our work with airlines and our relationship with the DoT.
Responsibilities:
1.
Recruitment and Selection:
Coordinate and participate in the recruiting process, including job postings, resume screening, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
2.
Employee Onboarding:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, which may involve conducting orientation sessions, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
3.
Employee Relations:
Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their queries, concerns, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Mediate and facilitate team member conflict resolution in partnership with managers.
4.
Performance Management:
Support the performance management process by assisting in the development and implementation of performance evaluation systems, providing guidance to managers and employees, and ensuring performance goals are effectively communicated.

Compensation and
Benefits:
Administer employee benefits programs and systems, including health/dental/vision insurance, and leave policies.
Keep up to date on market trends to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages are offered.
6.
People Analytics & Reporting:
Identify trends and needs among larger teams.
This includes collaborating with the operations and commercial teams on future growth.
Generate HR reports to provide insights on key indicators such as employee turnover, recruitment metrics, training effectiveness, and other relevant data to support strategic decision-making.
7.
HR Policies and Procedures:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Keep policies up-to-date and work with the Director of People to communicate changes to employees as necessary.
8.
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information & files, employment contracts, and performance evaluations.
Process payroll, handle employee inquiries related to payroll, and manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data.
9.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Own and manage the entire life cycle of internal and government agency audits.
10.
Employee Engagement:
Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture, boost morale, and promote employee satisfaction and retention.
Coordinate with the Director of People to ensure there is a strong cadence of engagement efforts.
11.
HR Projects:
Participate in special HR projects such as policy revisions, organizational restructuring, or HR process improvements.
Replace with language on talent acquisition, culture building, employee engagement/retention.
