A Day in the Life:
As a Controls Technical Specialist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with people across Williams in order to maintain safe operations, high reliability, and compliant hardware and software for our control systems.
Key relationships include IT, I&E technicians, and facility operations and maintenance team members.
As Technical Specialist you will be supporting our Gathering & Processing assets for OPPL.
Your day-to-day work may also include the following:
Solving hardware and software problems with a variety of control systems Assisting in the design, programming, and commissioning of controls and instrumentation for capital projects Engaging with Operations and Plant Engineers to optimize operation of facility processes and reduce unnecessary alarms Actively participate on project teams for capital expansion and improvement projects at facility, including management of small-scale capital projects Responsibilities/Expectations:
Performs moderately sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance, and pipeline operations support Participates in project planning and collaborates with company partners to guarantee accurate and available data Reads, understands and evaluates engineering design documents, contracts and agreements Adheres to all policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Education/Years of
Experience:
Required:
High school diploma/GED and equivalent experience or Associates degree in engineering or a technical field and a minimum of four (4) years' experience in oil & gas industry Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field and minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be willing to:
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) Use hand tools Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays Other Requirements:
Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills Job Type:

$90,000.
